Dose calculator

Pick a medicine and work out the dose by weight or age, using the catalogue dosage rules.

Choose the medicine

Only medicines that have dosage rules are listed.

⚠️ Free calculation, no medicine involved. Always check the working and the values. The calculator is an aid: always confirm the dose against your local clinical protocol. Rules marked “pending review” have not yet been validated by a pharmacist or doctor.

Safety and references

  • The result is a calculation aid, not a prescription: check it against the leaflet, the local protocol or a pharmacist.
  • Obese patients: a per-kg dose may call for ideal or adjusted weight, not actual weight.
  • Renal or hepatic impairment may require adjusting the dose or the interval.
  • Chemotherapy and other narrow-margin drugs only with a specialist.
  • Check the units (mg or mcg, IU, ml) and that the weight is plausible before giving the drug.
